Jr NTR's Dream - Only 40% Succeeded
Young Tiger Jr NTR has dreamt big this year. Running high with the success of "Temper" he has assured fans that 2015 is going to be Nandamuri Nama Samvatsaram. Making his dreams come true, for the first time ever Kalyan Ram delivered a blockbuster through "Pataas" after nearly 10 years of waiting. That made everyone believe that the time has come this year for everyone from Nandamuri family to deliver smashing hits.
First break has come in the form of Balayya's "Lion" which rode high on expectations but fell flat on its face at box office. At least the film should have done average business such that fans would have felt delighted. But newcomer Satyadeva failed to utilise the Nandamuri Nata simhaa's power and a powerful title got wasted. Later Kalyan Ram's first ever production venture with an outside hero has released and gave the second blow. Kick 2's disastrous ending at box office poured hopes on Jr NTR's dreams, while fans are not counting it as a Nandamuri film.
At least if "Sher" scores a hit now, Nandamuri Nama Samvatsaaram celebrations would have kicked high. But director Mallikarjun proved his critics right and completely shattered Junior's mighty dream thereby also hurting fans. Among the five Nandamuri projects that have released, only 2 scored hit, there by limiting the dream's success rate to 40% only. That's unlucky. -
